Establishment and Registration

Koperasi Pengusaha Pekerja Malaysia Berhad (KPPMB) was established and registered under subsection 7(1) of the Basic Co-operative Societies Act on 20th June 2006, with limited liability. This marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to serving the needs of its members while upholding the principles of cooperation and mutual assistance.

Commitment to Shariah Principles

On 13th September 2018, Koperasi Pengusaha Pekerja Malaysia Berhad was further recognized under subsection 18(3) of the Co-operative Societies Act 1993. This recognition solidified its position as a reputable institution committed to providing financial products, services, and facilities based on Shariah principles. KPPMB’s offerings include financing packages such as Ordinary Financing (Tawarruq) and Murabahah Financing (Murabahah), aligning with the Shariah concept.

Tawarruq Personal Loans

Tawarruq Personal Loans offered by Koperasi Pengusaha Pekerja Malaysia Berhad represent a unique financial solution rooted in Islamic finance principles. Tawarruq involves a commodity or asset sale transaction where the buyer purchases an asset on a deferred payment basis. This transaction can be based on either Murabahah (where the cost price of the asset plus a profit margin is disclosed) or Musawamah (a trade without disclosure of the cost price and profit margin) from the seller. Subsequently, the buyer sells the commodity or asset to a third party for cash, thus obtaining liquidity. This mechanism, also known as the Murabahah Commodity, forms the foundation of Tawarruq Personal Loans.

Murabahah represents a straightforward purchase and sale transaction wherein both the cost price of the asset and the profit margin are disclosed and agreed upon by the contracting parties. Borrowers have the flexibility to make payments for the sale price either in full or on a partial basis, enhancing convenience and transparency in the lending process.
