Koperasi Alumni UniSZA (KOPANISZA)

Koperasi Alumni UniSZA (KOPANISZA) serves as a platform for alumni of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin to collaborate, build, and contribute to society. Together, we make shared dreams of harmony and collective progress a reality.

Establishment

Objectives and Mission

Koperasi Alumni UniSZA was established with the primary objective of engaging in profitable business activities while also creating business and employment opportunities for its members. Additionally, the cooperative aims to contribute to the welfare of its members and their families by providing various support and assistance programs.

Approval and Inaugural General Meeting

The application to establish KOPANISZA received approval from the Malaysian Cooperative Commission on 24/07/2013. Subsequently, the Inaugural General Meeting took place on 27/07/2013 at the Putrajaya Lake Club, officiated by Professor Dr. Yahya Bin Ibrahim. During this meeting, the cooperative’s constitution was adopted, and the groundwork for its operations was laid out.

Board Members and Their Roles

Nine (9) Cooperative Board Members were elected during the General Meeting to oversee the operations and management of KOPANISZA. The appointed members assumed various roles to ensure the smooth functioning of the cooperative:

1. En. Hussin Bin Ghani – Chairman: Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the board, ensuring that the cooperative’s goals are met.
2. En. Mohd Nasurdin Bin Abdul Mubin – Secretary: Handles administrative tasks, maintains records, and manages communication within the cooperative.
3. En. Kirawan Zeiswar Bin Kamarolzaman – Treasurer: Manages the financial affairs of the cooperative, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
4. Hj. Mohamad Sahar Bin Mat Din – Member of the Cooperative Board: Contributes to decision-making processes, provides insights and expertise relevant to the cooperative’s activities.
5. En. Muhamad Haizuan Bin Rozali – Member of the Cooperative Board: Participates in strategic planning, helps formulate policies, and represents the interests of the members.
6. En. Ahmad Shukri Bin Ngah – Member of the Cooperative Institution: Supports the cooperative’s initiatives and projects, assists in implementing programs aimed at member welfare and development.
7. En. Wan Makhtar Bin Wan Kadir – Member of the Cooperative Board: Collaborates with other board members to ensure effective governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. En. Morad Bin Awang – Member of the Cooperative Institution: Engages in community outreach activities, fosters partnerships, and promotes the cooperative’s values and mission.
9. En. Wan Suhaimi Bin Wan Saidi – Member of the Cooperative Board: Contributes ideas and suggestions for improving the cooperative’s services and expanding its reach.

Functions and Activities

Services and Activities

The primary function of KOPANISZA encompasses a diverse range of services and activities aimed at benefiting its members. These include:

• Marketing: Facilitating the promotion and distribution of products and services.
• Education: Providing educational opportunities and resources to enhance members’ knowledge and skills.
• ICT (Information and Communication Technology): Leveraging technology to improve communication, information management, and operational efficiency.
• Event Organization: Planning and executing events to foster networking, collaboration, and community engagement.
• Promotional Programs: Developing initiatives to promote the cooperative’s services and benefits to members and the broader community.
• Training: Offering training programs and workshops to empower members and enhance their professional development.
• Other Activities: Additional activities that contribute to the welfare and development of members, to be determined as the cooperative evolves.

Operations Office

The Operations Office of KOPANISZA is located at 510A, Diamond Complex, Bangi Business Park, Bandar Baru Bangi, 43650 Bangi, Selangor Darul Ehsan. This serves as the central hub for administrative, operational, and member-related activities.

Membership Criteria and Fees

Membership in KOPANISZA is open to graduates of KUSZA, UDM, and UNISZA. The minimum share capital required for each member has been determined through the General Meeting. The membership fees are as follows:

• Starting Fee: RM100.00
• Entrance Fee: RM20.00

Representation and Annual General Meeting

Membership representation covers the entirety of Malaysia. During the Annual General Meeting, representation is organized based on geographical zones:

• Zone A: Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak.
• Zone B: Selangor, Federal Territory, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, Sarawak.

Registration Process

Currently, KOPANISZA has submitted the necessary documents to the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM) for registration. Once registration approval is obtained from SKM, travel activities and member registration will commence in accordance with regulatory requirements.
