In response to this national aspiration, Koperasi Tenaga dan Petroliam Berhad was established, adhering to the regulations set forth by the Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM).

Koperasi Tenaga dan Petroliam Berhad (KTP) embarked on its journey towards empowerment and prosperity with the receipt of its certificate of incorporation on 22nd February 2019. After diligently meeting various formation requirements, including the crucial step of opening a bank account to facilitate members’ investments, KTP commenced its operational phase in July 2019.

Recognizing the nationwide scope of the energy sector, Koperasi Tenaga dan Petroliam Berhad (KTP) strategically obtained approval from the Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) on 6th August 2019 to operate as a national entity. This pivotal decision opened membership opportunities to individuals and entities from across the nation, enriching the cooperative’s diversity and collective strength.
