A Brief Introduction

Koperasi Belia Inovatif Sarawak Berhad, affectionately known as KOBIS, stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the youth of Sarawak. Established as a non-governmental organization utilizing the Cooperative Berhad platform, KOBIS is registered under Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia. It actively champions the cause of youth development in Sarawak, with a keen focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, skills, and career enhancement.

A Journey of Empowerment

Officially founded on 10th August 2011, KOBIS has emerged as a unifying force for young entrepreneurs in Sarawak. Bringing together approximately 100 aspiring entrepreneurs and engaging over 200 Sahabat KOBIS (KOBIS friends), the organization operates with a singular vision: to empower each other towards greater heights. Over the years, KOBIS has spearheaded more than 100 youth programs, fostering collaboration with various supporting organizations and agencies.

By 2020, Koperasi Belia Inovatif Sarawak aims to emerge as a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) and a driving force for Sarawak youth. It seeks to facilitate their development and growth through entrepreneurship, innovation, skills, and career enhancement, maximizing their potential for positive societal impacts.

1. Promote the progressive and well-planned development of cooperatives in the Sarawak economy.
2. Strengthen the socioeconomic status of youth members through cooperative platforms, acting as catalysts and providing resource support.
