Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) is a national cooperative. Member involvement is not limited to one organization only, but it is open to all Malaysians in general.

Promoting a Culture of Saving and Entrepreneurship

Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) is a Cooperative established with the aim of promoting a culture of saving and entrepreneurship for welfare purposes and improving the socio-economic status of members in particular and Muslims in general, in line with the demand to “cooperate in matters of goodness and piety.”

Registration and Approval

Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad was approved for registration on 21 January 1994 under the Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) with Koop Nasional registration number No 15.

Personal Loan: Flat Rate Financing

Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) Personal Loan is a flat rate personal financing option designed to meet the financial needs of our members.

Financing Margin

Based on the personal loan eligibility limit and subject to a minimum amount of RM 1,000 and a maximum amount of RM 100,000.

Personal Loan Payment Period

• Amount RM 1,000 – RM 5,000: Maximum 24 months (2 years)
• Amount RM 5,001 – RM 100,000: Maximum 60 months (5 years)

Profit Rate

A flat rate personal loan of 8% per annum for all who qualify. Please note that this rate is subject to change depending on the terms and conditions, and will be notified via offer letter if the application is approved.

Eligibility for Personal Loan Application

To apply for a personal loan with Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB), applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Has been a member of Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) for at least six (6) months.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Has a confirmed position and has a fixed income.
• Have a guarantor.

Required Documents

Applicants need to submit the following documents along with their application:

• Completed application form.
• Information disclosure consent form.
• A copy of identity card.
• 3 months latest salary slip.
• Latest job confirmation letter.
• At least one of the following documents:
  • Latest EPF statement; or
  • Latest income statement (Form BE/eBE/EA/EC); or
  • Latest bank statement for 3 months (salary crediting)
• Any supporting documents if necessary.

There are 2 payment methods available for personal loan payment:

• Salary deduction.
• Standing instructions from other banks.

Becoming a Member of Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB)

Joining Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) is a straightforward process designed to facilitate membership and promote financial inclusion. Follow these three easy steps to become a member:

Step 1: Complete the Membership Application Form

• Access the membership application form by downloading it from the KIMB website or filling it out online at borang_permohonan_ahli_kimb_2.0.
• Ensure all required fields are accurately filled in with the necessary information.

Step 2: Submit the Application Form

• Once the form is completed, return it to KIMB through one of the following channels:
  • Post or hand-deliver to the Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad Office at Lot 300.1, Lorong Selangor, Pusat Bandar Melawati 53100, Kuala Lumpur.
  • Email the form to customer.service@kimb.com.my.
  • Fax the form to 03-41086319.
• Choose the submission method that is most convenient for you.

Step 3: Payment of Membership Application Fee

• Make the membership application fee payment of RM 530, comprising RM 500 for shares and RM 30 for the membership fee.
• Payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer to the designated KIMB accounts:
  • Maybank: 5622 0961 8419
  • Islamic Bank: 1211 30100 24343
• Provide proof of payment by submitting the transaction details via email, fax, or WhatsApp to 011.2078.5903.

Approval and Membership Confirmation

• After the submission of your application and payment of the membership fee, KIMB will process your membership application.
• Once approved, you will receive an approval confirmation letter, along with your membership card and a copy of the cooperative’s by-law book.
• These documents will be sent to the address provided in your membership application form, ensuring you are officially welcomed as a member of KIMB.

3 Easy Steps to Apply for Membership:

1. Complete the Membership Application Form:
   • Download the member application form from our website or fill it in online.
2. Submit the Form:
   • Return the completed form via one of the following methods:
     • Post/send to KIMB Office at Lot 300.1, Lorong Selangor, Pusat Bandar Melawati 53100, Kuala Lumpur.
     • Email to customer.service@kimb.com.my.
     • Fax the form to 03-41086319.
3. Pay the Membership Application Fee:

Membership Requirements:

Membership with Koperasi Islah Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Malaysian citizenship.
• Aged 18 years and above.
• No record of offenses registered under the “Registration of Criminals and Undesirable Persons Act, 1969”.

Each application must include filling in the membership application form, paying the Membership Fee of RM 30, and a minimum Share Capital of RM 500 (to be paid within 6 months after membership is registered).
